ASSEMBLY: RULES, RULES, RULES

(1)
A light hearted assembly that takes students through some of the more bizarre rules and laws from around the world. The school rules are the last slide (you will have to change them for your own school) and the morale of the tale is why we need rules in order to keep a calm productive environment.

A basic little assembly that examines why we lie in school and how easy it can be to uncover the truth. The story at the end actually happened to me, although the technology is now somewhat dated!

A simple assembly which shows students how things such as mobile phones, music players and cars have evolved. It then asks them to think about they are evolving academically, spiritually etc

A simple little assembly which references the list compiled at the turn of the millenium. Students are asked to reflect on what makes these people great. Have some fun with the students and ask if they know who some of them are!

ASSEMBLY: IF IT IS WORTH HAVING, WORK FOR IT

An assembly geared at students taking examinations this year. Contains a nice story of a man watching the struggles of a butterfly. Also contains a link to a really nice Youtube comedy clip from the medical show "Scrubs" (I do not own the rights to this clip)

Assembly for older students: happiness

A basic assembly I used with sixth form students but could be adapted. The discussion is happiness and the top ten happiest countries are shown. There is then a discussion on the Danish concept of hygge. A prayer is included and a notice board slide. There is a vote which students can take part in which touches on a topical issue of our time
